Making Democracy Work

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

Calendar of Events	The League sponsors meetings and events both for the public and League members. Some events listed may be sponsored by organizations other than the League.

Did You Know?

The League of Women Voters of the Montclair Area won first place for the Outstanding Newsletter Award at the 2005-2007 Convention of the League of Women Voters of New Jersey for our publication, The Local Voter.
We also won first place for the best fund-raising activity in the state, hosting five Russian women in our towns for eight days, studying Women in Government.
